Going to Work

Last week was a busy week at work.  Our transitional kindergarten class had their program on Friday for their families.  Lots of work went in to the program.  I arrived at school early every day last week to help in the preparations.  The program was a success!  The child who, during all our practices, sang lustily with veins popping in his neck, sat quietly and stared at his mother.  Another child, who usually sat quietly during the practice and always pointed to his nose during the song, Rudolph, with his middle finger, drowned out the other children with his singing.  It was good.  The parents loved it!
This week, with two days of school, I'm not so excited to go.  I have a house that needs my attention, Christmas preparations that have been neglected, and daughters who could use my help.  I'm not arriving early today, in fact, I may be a little late.  Perhaps some glitter lipstick and  Christmas socks will spark my enthusiasm.
Have a good day!

  6. I love Christmas programs. I taught Kndg. also. I just loved it. Their programs were the best.:)

I laughed at the teen-aged son jumping into the getaway pickup truck. Once when we were "delivering", the son of the family we were delivering to called the police on us. Luckily we were gone by then.

My daughter has not received the picture yet. She must be really busy.

    Have a wonderful Christmas.

  7. Isn't it hilarious how kids get stage fright. I always LOVE going to children's programs. I get comic relief!

I have to work two days as well this week. It is hard because I have SO much that needs to be done and when I come home my kids want attention and so that is what happens. I play and be with them. If things don't get done and aren't as perfect as usual, that is okay. I have made peace with that fact.

Looking forward to 5 days in a row off work! I love that there are other women out there that are working mothers and we can all relate to each other a little.

You're AWESOME Connie and what a JOY it is to know you!
