This Thursday I'm going to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert! This event is truly a phenomenal feast for the ears, eyes and emotions!
Guests this year are:
Natalie Cole - she's unforgettable -
and David McCullough - history in the making!
I CAN'T WAIT!!
SO, excited for you!! One of my dear friends just moved to Utah a few months ago and has tickets to this same concert.
ReplyDeleteYou are SO lucky!! ENJOY! I can't imagine how wonderful and beautiful the music will be that you hear!
BTW...I have made my fruit cake with bottled peaches, pears, or apples. I just use whatever fruit I have on hand. The fruit really just makes the cake moist, it doesn't add that much flavor, but I would definitely choose peaches over apples anyday. Peaches are delicious.
This recipe would be a great recipe for your walnuts.
ENJOY!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I should have gotten tickets!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it!
My old boss sings with them, they are amazing!
That will be so awesome! I got to go two years ago because I was a chaparone for my daughter's choir and they had tickets to go. Pretty unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteWhat a place.
HAVE A BLAST!
I am so excited for you. I know you will embrace the evening.
ReplyDeleteIs this the one that they have a lottery for?
ReplyDeleteNatalie Cole = Will be amazing!

ReplyDeleteOh you lucky ducky!
ReplyDeleteHave a grand time.
The only time I have seen/heard them live was when we went to the production "Light of the World" during the Olympics. It was fabulous. They sang "High On the Mountain Top". Very moving!
Enjoy. I'm sure it will be great. I love Natalie Cole.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for you to post about the experience.
Woo Hoo! You won a ticket! Yeah! My sister and her husband put in a request for a ticket - I wonder if they will be there too! It's such a wonderful experience and a great way to start the season. I'm really happy for you! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteNatalie Cole....that is going to be so amazing to hear her sing. Wish I was going with you. I will be attending my daughters choir concert that evening. So enjoy it for me as well as for you.
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be awesome! I was there in 2005 and it was the best thing I got to do while in SLC!
ReplyDeleteI would be more excited about McCullough than anything else. Absolutely loved John Adams and 1776. I bought the audio books so I could listen to him read them to me. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be incredible! Can't wait to hear your report.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome for you! Enjoy. I'm sure you will.
ReplyDeleteJEALOUS! I didn't even know they started the lottery until the tickets were already mailed out. I love the concerts and try to go...they really need to do them more than 3 days...like maybe 2 weeks so everybody can go! See what you can do about getting that changed!
ReplyDeleteI already know I'll be crying! Just a little warning... SOOOO excited!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll get lucky next year. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time!!!!! I will have to give you my address one of these days, you can stop by and say hi when you are in town. I am just up the street.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, wow, wow, that will be so cool
ReplyDeleteI saw a PBS special on tv just this week that had Andre Boccelli singing Christmas songs with the Morman Tabernacle Choir. So amazing.
You'll be fed spiritually I am sure.
Enjoy your Christmas. I am headed to Utah on Friday to see the kids. Can't wait.
