Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jack

As a child I LOVED Cracker Jack!  I loved eating all the peanuts in the box of the caramel popcorn.  The more peanuts, the better.  The prizes were awesome; rings, toy tools, charms, 3-D pictures; it was always fun to see what surprise awaited me.

It has been years since I had any Cracker Jack.  I purchased some to see if it was all I remember.  I was a little disappointed.  Where are all the peanuts?  Is this really the way the popcorn tasted?  The prize was the best part!  It made me laugh!

Do you like Cracker Jacks?
I think I'll stick with Peanut M&Ms. At least I'm guaranteed a peanut in every bite!

  2. I like nuts, but not so much when they are in things. Sorry, but plain caramel corn for me.

  4. I bought 30 boxes for the 4th of July. It is a tradition for the kids while they watch the fireworks!

The adults get them too. I am disabppointed as well with the prizes and the lack of peanuts.:)

  5. Wow Connie. I have never seen you so hateful.
    Just kidding.
I remember them being awesome when I was a kid too.

The prizes are the most pathetic ever.
Maybe we should all start a revolt or something. See if Mr Obama can get involved and get it solved.

  13. When I was younger I'd throw out the peanuts. ?? I haven't had them in a long time, but the last few times I did, the prizes were pretty sad.

  16. I don't remember any cool toys. Just tattoos and joke books. I was highly disappointed the last time I tried Cracker Jack too!

  17. The nuts were always the best and there were never enough. I prefer Crunch N Munch for that reason. P.S. That prize looks lame compared to ones from the past!

  20. My children have no idea what Cracker Jacks even are... I'd rather not waste my money (should I say WAIST?)
M&M's rule... but Inigo won't eat them. I have to buy a bag of M&M's for the normal people of our family and a bag of carrots for my boy.

  22. I miss the "Good old days". Nothing is as good as it used to be and the prizes in Cracker Jacks are not cool anymore. I remember the rings, toys,s charms 3-D photos, etc...

I wish that my kids could enjoy things the same way that we got to enjoy them. Everything has gotten so cheap.

Oh well, thank goodness for peanut M&M's as you ALWAYS get a peanut each bite you take.

LOVE your witty and funny sense of humor! Have a great day!
