Jordan's getting married on Friday. They found a basement apartment about a mile away from our house. This apartment is in Jordan's best friend's parents' home. It's furnished with living room furniture and a big screen TV. He's living large!
Last night he announced that he's officially moved out! He then left to spend the night at his new abode.
This morning I got a text from him: "I have no dishes here. Can I come home and eat?"
I hope they get some dishes for their wedding.
Now I know what I'm giving them for a wedding gift.
ReplyDeletePretty Cool Stuff!
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived closer too!! I KNOW I could pass along some dishes, pots, pans, casserole dishes, a few chairs, maybe a table, etc.. etc.. etc... :)
Happy Monday !
p.s. Tell Jordan that I'm a little bit jealous....'cause at least he knows where he'll be living :)
LOL I love how independent they think they are when they are really just getting started. :)
ReplyDeleteYou don't need dishes if you go to Taco Bell. I'm just saying...
ReplyDeleteLOL...
ReplyDeleteWhen my kids turned about 16 we started giving them items for birthdays and Christmas that would furnish apartments for when they moved out. That was a good save for us when they finally did because they moved out before they got married. So no wedding gifts for them.
I'm giving him a deep fryer.
ReplyDeleteAt least he knows where to go to get fed!
ReplyDeleteNow you will have more room for food storage. Give them lots of apricots for a wedding gift :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your wedding week.
That's pretty funny. What an exciting time!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I talked with Jordan and Chelsey at the block party I asked if they were ready for the wedding.
ReplyDeleteJordan - (shrugs shoulders) Yea I guess.
Chelsey - (no hesitation) Yes!
I suspect when she moves in with him they will have dishes :-).
Until then... Keep the light on for him mom and dad :-), I don’t know if he can afford to get any thinner.
That is SOOO cute!! Love the text!
ReplyDeleteSo true to life. I think we've all been there!! :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like excitement is on your menu for this week!!
How exciting for Jordan. I think your home will always have a revolving door, with Jordan leaving and Jeanette returning. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeletei figured it'd be laundry and it'd be a few days later. lol. i hope they get dishes too, just for you! =) have fun this week.
ReplyDeleteHow funny!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for them Connie! I hope it all goes smoothly getting settled in.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind visit and understanding. ~Melissa :)
You think he's GONE?!?!
ReplyDeleteBig screen? That is living large. I want one.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure someone will have pity on the poor newlywed with a big screen!
Exciting times!
Oh, that gave me a chuckle. They never go away.
ReplyDeleteYou know the deer have never come back. I thought they had but I was wrong. I have never resprayed either. So, I am thinking Cougar Pee is the way to go.
LOL... I hope they get silver ware. We got home to our new place only to discover we had dishes but no silver ware.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that even when he HAS dishes.. he'll find other reasons to be back home. I missed my Mom's cooking the most when I left...
ReplyDeleteI love it! Cute post!! Congrats to the bride and groom to be!
ReplyDeleteLaughing--too cute.
ReplyDeleteHope they have wonderful weather for the wedding. I'm sure everything will be beautiful.
LOL!!! How cute!! There is no place like home! I am sure he will get plenty of dishes.
ReplyDeleteToday is Friday so I'm sure you are VERY busy today and having fun and probably shedding a few tears. Hope it's all wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful they will only be one mile away! However, if it were my child, I would be very tempted to go over and visit all the time...
ReplyDeleteHahaha. My son did the same thing a month before he was married. He said he might as well live there since he was paying rent. But then he was over frequently for food and clothes washing. They are only a mile down the road from us also.
