"Old" Friends

I spent a wonderful afternoon with Ann and Janet.  We have been friends since grade school and have been through a lot together!   Even though we don't live close to each other, we try to get together once a year for lunch and to get caught up on each other's life!  Denise, our other friend, is MIA.   Denise, we missed you!! 


I just saw someone take a picture of our mailbox.  We were told that the missionaries in the area like to have their picture taken by it.   So I decided to take a picture and post it here.  Do you want to open the box to see if the sword goes all the way through?  Most people do.  (It doesn't)  Sometimes I actually get something good in this mailbox!

    That is hilarious. For some reason I am surprised that sedate meek little you has something so.....out there!
    I have mailbox envy now.

    It looks like your lunch was a lot of fun. Nothing is better than a girls getaway. You all look like you are about 12 and giggling about boys or something.

    That is pretty much the coolest mailbox I have ever seen Connie - Who came up with that idea? Very clever!!

    Great to get together with old friends and catch up - You know what they say "Old friends are gold".

    I love catching up with 'old' friends. I've been lucky to stay in contact with my high school friends, it is fun!

    Is the rock under the sword attached to the cement? I am not sure how it has not been stolen yet.

    Glad you had fun with your lifelong friends. Those get togethers really really matter.

    I love going to lucch with friends very often. I need to do it more!

    Love your mailbox and I bet your Letter Carrier does too. It does look like it could be stolen pretty easy.

    The rock is actually a fake rock that has a metal piece under it that goes through a hole in the concrete and is cemented. No moving that! My husband dreamed up this idea for the mailbox and his brother, who builds play grounds in malls, made it for us.

    Always great to get together with friends--I had the chance a couple of weeks ago and ENJOYED EACH AND EVERY MINUTE OF MY VISIT.

    Yeah, if my little Elder was there I'm sure he would have a picture by your mailbox ; )

    Old friends are the best.

    That mailbox is pretty darn awesome. I can see why the missionaries would want to have their pics taken by it.
