Remember Henry?
Henry's an outdoor cat or, I should say, a garage cat since the weather has been cold. After Henry had made his way into our lives, we wondered if he might be a female and thought it funny that this pretty little girl cat was named Henry. After a while, Henry had a voracious appetite and started getting fat. We wondered if she was old enough to be pregnant. The thought of having kittens around here was appealing to some and appalling to others. We started bringing her in the house more, giving her some milk with egg - not just the cheap, dry, catfood; after all, she might be eating for 5! She was loving all the pampering!
He looked sheepishly at us and I put him outside. That voracious appetite means he'll be a big ol' Tom cat! He's going to spray the odorous urine on everything to mark his territory! I can't have that! Henry has an appointment to be neutered. We'll be fine with his new found gender...I hope he will be too. The Gig is up! How dare he trick us like that! (I'm so embarrassed)

My thoughts and prayers are with the people in Haiti.

I'm still going to call him Henrietta - just to spite him! He hates all of us anyway... and after all we've done for her - er him! *single tear*
The same thing happened with us..
The owners TOLD us it was a girl.. so we named her Chloe.
Well now...Chloe has become bandit. We were fooled.
Bandit had his vaccines and they made us wait 2 weeks before they would neuter. So lame.. because I don't want him to start spraying either!
Bandit's appointment is this wednesday. Do you know I have to make him fast after midnight on Tuesday? He's not going to be a happy cat....
That is hilarious!! By all means get him snipped. I would not want that odor around either.
Too Funny!!! I'm all for getting the cat "fixed"!!! ;-)
I bet he won't get to be 26 pounds :( Glad you are getting him fixed. We've had all our cats and dogs fixed just to help do our part in keeping the animal population down areound our area.
My prayers have been with those in Haiti too. Have a great weekend!
Funny!!! glad you figured out that he was a he so that he did not spray all over your house.
You looked it up on the internet?
Mercy!
I'm nervous for your future spam!
Henry is a beautiful cat by the way.
Henry is a gorgeous big boy! :)
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement on my healthy life Connie! I really appreciate it.
HA HA HA...WAY TO GO HENRY, YOU PULLED IT OFF FOR A FEW DAYS AT LEAST!HE IS A CUTE BOY TOO. I'VE GOT TWO I'VE GOT TO GET IN TO BE FIXED, IF I WAIT MUCH LONGER, WE'LL BE HAVING KITTENS TOO! COME SAY HI :D
We once had 3 rabbits and one male and 2 females. We wondered why we never had babies. I took them to a farmer and told him our problem. He and his friends about died laughing. Yes, they were all females.
I too am so sad over the Haiti earthquake. We found out much later, but it is such horrible news.
Cats are not high on my list of things I like. They're sneaky---as illustrated by this post. Hope Henry is ready for the change in his life:)
"Belle" found me one day when I was working as a crossing-guard. She was a stray and kept running into the road. I couldn't stand the thought of her getting hit, so we adopted her.
I immediately took her to the vet, she had a cold and kept sneezing in my face.
"Belle" came home as "Dave." Yup. We messed it up too!
(R.I.P. Dave... we had to put him down in Sept. due to the fact that he urinated in several spots in our house, ruining the carpt. And yes, he was neutered.)
Hello Connie, I've so happy to hear about your family be ok in Haiti.
I wanted to click on and see your food storage, but nothing would happen. I'm cleaning out my storage room and reorganizing. I want to work on my food storage more this year.

That is so funny Connie. I think that happens to alot of people with cats.
My friend told me she took her cat in to get neutered and the doctor looked at her funny...oops!
Sometimes with animals it really can be hard to tell.
Henry is beautiful!
Um Connie --how many kids do you have??
and you didn't know how to find his gender.
and as for the odorous urine --yup get Tom, I mean Henry neutered.
You are too funny. I'm not an animal person, so I would be lost.
The whole situation in Haiti is so sad.
Hope you weren't wanting little kittens this spring!! You're out of luck! PRETTY KITTY! OH....maybe I shouldn't call him pretty. Handsome kitty.
Sandra
