Our New Years Eve tradition has always been to stay at home and play games with the kids.
We did the same thing this year and had lots of fun!
This picture of Ad and C8 shows a fairly new tradition - making "Crackers" for the grandkids. Toilet paper rolls or wrapping paper rolls are filled with candy, trinkets, and money then wrapped in tissue paper. The trick is to take the ends in both hands and pull them apart so all the goods spill out. This tissue paper was more plastic and didn't conform to our wants so we just untied the ends and dumped it.

and lots
of loving from C8 and Keiti, whether she wanted it or not!
We ate delicious chimichangas (recipe will be on another post).
OK, this game is a wild and crazy game. Usually someone ends up crying when they have to dump their bag but last night was a more mild version. I took this picture of the booty more than half way through the game. As you can tell it's just not candy bars we get!
The dice must have been on the other side of the circle for Jeanette to be taking a video of the action!
That look on Corban's face is suspicious!
I threw this picture in, although Izzy didn't cooperate with me and the camera, I was able to capture Jeanette giving a little sugar to Troy! Who wouldn't want to kiss those chubby cheeks?

ReplyDeleteAll our kids and GRAND's are in Ohio looking for snow and deer. We spent the most wonderful quiet evening with dinner and a movie and then I decided to put up some boneless chuck roast. I got 18 jars and think I will go back for some more meat today. Good sale at 1.99 a pound.

I hope you are having a WONDERFUL and Happy New Years Day! I'm taking a break from shoveling snow and warming up. We had over a foot of snow drop and it is still snowing.
Oh that is so cool that you made crackers. I love those things and say every year that I'm going ot figure out how to do that. And ummm every year I ... say I'm going to do that next year! It looks like everyone had a blast :)

Great New Years Eve Party. I'm thinking this is the "candy bar game?" I've never played when you have to dump your bag. I need to know about this version. I think it would be allot more fun.

ReplyDeleteI agree about staying home for NYE. Growing up in CA we always had "New York New Years" at 9 pm and now in Utah and with 3 littles of my own, I like the idea of a "London New Years" better. The more sleep the better!
