Promises

This is a busy week for me.  I haven't had much chance to get on the computer to check my own blog let alone every one else's.  A couple more days and I'll be out and about to see what's going on in your neck of the woods!

See these 13 apricots?  Times that by 10,000 and that's how many are on our tree!  It promises to be a bumper crop!  Hope you'll give me a call in July to get your share of them!

This pear tree is starting to swell with pears.  Unless something "freezy" happens, we should have bushels of those golden orbs.

This tree is promising tons of apples.

The bees are plentiful on the blossoms and helps ensure that promise.

Although this won't produce fruit, just had to throw this lilac in the mix.  Scratch your screen, I'm sure you can smell it!

My friend passed away on Mother's Day.  She was in her early 50s, and in good health.  Such a shock to everyone, especially her sweet, broken-hearted daughter and grandchildren.

This picture symbolizes the promise that I'll see her again.

Connie,
My heart goes out to you and to the loved ones of your friend. That is so hard!
The promise of eternity is so wonderful and such a blessing in our lives. Now, if we could just pick up the phone and hear our loved ones voices again.....
Please feel free to share your bumper crop of fruit with me :)
Our poor gardens.... they are just waiting for some warmth. Hopefully soon.
Thanks for sharing your pictures with us and helping me remember that some day we will see warm weather again!

So sorry about the friend...life is so fragile, I have found that out! Looks like you will have lots of bottling to do as I did when we had lots of fruit trees like this! Come say hi :D

Sorry about your friend. The greatest promise there at the end I think. I'm so grateful for His unwavering promise.
Beautiful pictures. I love lilacs. More of His wondrous gifts.

OH, I am so sorry about your friends passing. We are so blessed to have such a promise.

I loved the apricots you brought me last year. Hope I can come visit and enjoy a few more this year.

That promise is such a comfort. I love the song "Each Life That Touches Ours For Good"...sweet words that help to heal broken hearts.
I can't wait to hear all the ways that you use your apricots and pears. AND enjoy those LILACS...I can almost smell them...aahhh!

Those are very pretty lilacs, but they make me sneeze just looking at them.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, and so glad you know that it is only temporary.

The lilacs are lovely, and I am glad I can't smell them because I am very allergic to them!

I love lilacs! Planning on clipping some from my neighbors huge bushes at midnight.

Which friend passed away?

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.

Also, I'm trying not to be jealous that you live on property with so many gorgeous, heavy bearing fruit trees. It's totally not working though. Green with envy.

So sorry to hear of your friend passing away suddenly. I've had 2 friends pass away unexpectedly in the last month. It sure makes you think about your own mortality.

Such happy and gorgeous photos. Spring truly is my favorite time of year...I never tire of the blossoming trees, the gorgeous smell of the fragrant blossoms and flowers and I thoroughly enjoy all of those bees buzzing around and pollinating everything.

I am SO envious of all of your fruit trees that you get an abundant crop most every year. What a blessing!!

SO sorry to hear of your friend passing. There is nothing more sad than when someone is taken before their time. That is SO sad for that poor family and SO sad for you too. At least you have a little bit of JOY in your yard to cheer you at such a sad time. Your lilac bush is gorgeous and I am breathing in and I can smell how good it smells by the gorgeous photo on your screen.

I understand about it being a HECTIC time of year. I haven't been on the computer much myself. 2 weeks from tomorrow and it's the last day of school and LOTS of events going on surrounding that.

Hope the rest of your week is a happy one and "HUGS" to you!!

I am so terribly sorry for your friend. WOW, early 50's and in good health. so hard to accept sometimes.
but like all the blossoms on your trees that promise to bring forth fruit, and like the beauty of that lilac
she lives, and it is just a "change of season" for her and her family.
We have to try and find the beauty in that I guess.

Oh that must have been a hard one. Have you ever read the book "The Message" You can find it at Deseret Book. It is the best little book ever when someone passes away suddenly. I read it a couple of months ago when my father in law passed away and my husband's best friend died at age 52 in an accident.
