I mentioned in my last post that I had some sad news that happened on Friday. I wasn't planning on posting about it but I have had several people express concern over that comment so I will briefly explain.
Our next-door neighbors are not only wonderful neighbors and friends, but he (the husband) is the bishop of our ward. Their youngest is graduating from high school this week. Their oldest, 25-year-old Jenny, was coming home from BYU-Idaho to attend the seminary graduation on Sunday night and the high school graduation on Wednesday. While traveling on the freeway, south of Idaho Falls, her tire blew and she lost control of her car. The car rolled several times, ejecting her (even though she was wearing a seat belt) from her car. She passed away after arriving at the Portneuf hospital.
I saw and heard the grief and pain her family went through when they were informed of her death. My heart has been grieving for them ever since. This is a parent's worst nightmare!
The whole family was in church today. What an example of strength that comes in knowing the plan of salvation and in being an eternal family.
My thoughts and prayers go out to them.

Connie this really is so terribly sad. I can see why this would have been so difficult to discuss. Please know that I am thinking of you and I will keep that poor family in my prayers.

I saw this accident on our local news. So heart breaking.
So thankful for the knowledge of the Gospel.

That is so sad...our hearts break to loose our loved ones as we live here on the earth. But what a comfort to know that we will be together forever...that none are lost to us..we will be a family in the next life too. God bless you and them with extra love and strength at this time. Come say hi :)
Stunned, shocked and sad!
I've known Jenny since she was 4 years old!
Love and prayers for her family and for the ward family too.
How horrible and tragic. And what a great example that family is.
Connie,
How sad my heart is for her family and for you and your family.
We will keep you all in our prayers.
I know that prayer helps and comforts.
Oh, Connie, that is so incredibly sad. It is always amazing when you see such strength in people. They must be an amazing family. I'm so grateful for the Plan of Salvation.
How sad. Even with the knowledge of the gospel, that's a painful experience.
What a tragedy!! I'm so sorry. Thank goodness for the gospel, and the wonderful promise we have through it. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dear neighbors.
Oh so sad. Same thing happened to our Bishop years ago and also to our Stake Pres just last year. The gospel knowledge helps, but it's still unbelievably difficult. My sympathy and prayers goes out to all of you.
Hugs.
Oh how tragic. There really are no words for something like this. Hugs for you and prayers for the family.
I'm so sorry, Connie, a terrible heartache for the family and for you their friend. Loving thoughts to you all.
What absolutely devastating news. I'm so sorry. I'll be keeping your good friends in my thoughts and prayers.
That is so heart breaking! I am so sorry! I will keep them in my prayers!
That is a parent's worst nightmare and a nightmare for those that knew and loved that daughter. So sorry to hear about this. I know that when BYU-I loses a student the whole campus mourns. Thank heavens for the gospel! I send hugs to you and her family!
