Almost 50 years ago, I had a "Little Lady's Tea Party" that my mother organized in our back yard. We wore our mother's dresses to add beauty, glamour, grace and...magic? No princess dresses or sound system for us! I really can't remember what we did, but for some reason I wasn't happy when this picture was taken. Can you guess which one is me?

That is priceless!!!!
Oh my goodness!
Ya ever think about how many pictures were NOT taken of us. Film was just way too expensive.
Very cute..both of these! I think you are the second from the right or the one on the end, on my right! Which one are you? :D
I am the 2nd from the right with the pouty face.
Never did the tea party thing myself, but if there were good cookies involved, I would have probably considered it.
I'm afraid there's more than one girl in that photo that doesn't look so happy! It was probably hot standing outside in those dresses! :)
i always wanted a big tea party, but mom was against anything my brother couldn't participate in. so there weren't ever any themes. oh well. didn't stop my birthdays from coming, i guess.
lucky granddaughter & you! (:
How cute is that. Brings back memories looking at the "old" black and white photos. I bet your granddaughters would love wearing those dresses around.
How cool! I love tea parties.
What a blast!! I love the idea of tea parties. I love the picture of you with your friends. I have a tea party picture of me and my friends when I was little, let's just say I wasn't so little!! :-)
FUN post! :-)
you were probably pouting because of the LACk of cupcakes!
I am in love with both pictures. And how priceless is it to have them both and to be able to show your "princess" granddaughters that you also had a tea party.
Are you the one looking down in the bottom picture? Maybe a bug flew in your eye.
Little girls are so fun!
Oh I just read through the comments and saw that you put you are the one with the pouty face on the right - too funny!!
you look like a pist off emily.
Why have I not been over here before?? I think I have you and another "Connie" mixed up!
Love the tradition of tea parties, the wedding blog, and your girl's return from her adventures abroad!
I'll be back now that I know where you are!
I LOVE both pictures!!
I'm sure that your party was just as perfect as the one they had as well. Pouty face or not... :)
Oh my gosh, that is hysterical. Boy things have become bigger and grander it seems.
sometimes I want to go back to the simplicity of it all
maybe your boo hoo..ing cause you don't like your skirt.
I do.
hmm, warm strawberry milk? Not too sure about that one.
I love looking at past generations photographs. How neat! I love your pouty face-so cute!
You were probably upset because the girl to the right of you outdid you on the big hair experiement. WOwza!
I guessed right! My second guess was the 3rd on the left. What a darling tradition. I bet the girls loved it:) Super fun and funny :)
Wow...what a cool post! I love that you have so many pictures that you can compare with today! That is seriously so cool that you did that~!
Wow, what a wedding! Gorgeous! I love the pictures! I totally know the feeling that it is BLASTED hot out there taking pictures! :) I am soooo sorry we didn't make it down. Rex was traveling that night and I wasn't brave enough to take the trip with the 2 kids on my own! The look great though!
I love both pictures. What fun that you have them.
I think my granddaughter needs a princess party. She is turning 8 this month. She is postponing her baptism for a month so we can be there. Where is this princess place? my email is: narhets@hotmail.com
Connie, wouldn't it be fun to get the same group of girls together and do it again ??
I love your pictures and your memories. Thanks for sharing with us!!!
p.s Ditto on garden of egans comment about photos being so expensive. Every photo that was ever taken of me is somewhere on a slide.
I do remember photo-mats. We thought they were so cool!
Love that! I never had a tea party. I feel like I missed out on something. :)
By the way, yes, I live in the same city a before, just closer to the canyon.
how wonderful...I have never been to nor had a tea party, but it is never too late....it looks like fun!!! That is so funny you lived in Roy...Are you still in Utah?
Fun party. I'll bet the girls loved it. Love your "vintage" picture too. Times certainly are achangin! Mimi
I love it--my first guess, was the 3rd one from the left with the smiley face. I was pretty sure the pouty face one wasn't you ; )
Times truly are changing, eh ; )
What fun for your granddaughter!! And I love the picture of your party. I especially love that you are all wearing dresses. Times have sure changed.
I also enjoyed looking at the wedding pictures. I love weddings. Good thing since we have another reception tonight. :-)
