Now that the snow has melted and we have a few days of short-lived warm weather. I feel rejuvenated! It's time to check out the yard and see what's been happening while the ground was covered with the white stuff. We have these beautiful hyacinths that smell so sweet. The Daffodils are huge this year! The weeds made a grand appearance after lying dormant all winter. I suppose you have to take the bad with the good. Who can I blame for that? We also discovered that our friendly mole/gopher has been busy with new excavation! He's been around for the past three years. We've tried several different remedies to get rid of him but he's having a grand time tunneling throughout our yard. This thing, Henry Gray Cat, doesn't seem to care anything about it. If he does catch that underground critter, he'll be worth his weight in gold. Otherwise, he's just a cat who thinks he owns us. Perhaps it's time to ban his Facebook privileges. (Yeah, I have weird sons) Enjoy your weekend. I know I will. P.S. Thanks for all your comments and great ideas for decorating my guest room. I have some good ideas now and am able to move forward! |
I am definitely buying some plants today, to put on our balcony. Long live spring!
ReplyDeleteI am anxious for some flowers. I love color against the house.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so lovely!!! Your yard is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI think you won't need to worry about the spare room.....I'll bring my own bedspread. I'm moving in!
It's always nice to see signs of spring...
ReplyDeleteEvery fall I tell myself to plant some bulbs so I can have some tulips or daffodils or SOMETHING, and every year, I don't do it.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to get some petunia's or something planted so that there will be some color and make it feel like spring.
Spring is finally here! I wish I had those pretty flowers at my house :)
ReplyDeletePHat cat....with an attitude.
ReplyDeleteThe spring flowers are always so gorgeous.
We woke up to 6 inches of snow this morning, and it has been pounding down all day...I bet there is over a foot out there now.
Not a flower in sight.
the guest room looks good...and I love having the necklaces out so you can see what you have. Very nice.
I am thinking of Matt this evening....priesthood session. He always went with his brothers , father and father in law, then they'd go out to dinner. He liked that.
Your flowers are beautiful!! You guys are so much farther ahead of us, weather wise(warmth), it's scary!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
I am so glad to see that you are having a taste of spring!! Beautiful flowers and yes we have a fat cat who owns us too.
ReplyDeleteMore snow tomorrow?? Loved the weather yesterday. Mimi
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty flowers! I really hope that the nice weather is LONG-lived. I don't want some fickle, "not ready for spring yet" weather.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are absolutely beautiful. I know that pretty soon our snow will be completely melted. I would love to have a green thumb and be able to grow beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the gopher--GOOD LUCK.
Sure hope your beautiful flowers weren't killed under all that snow we got!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. I especially love daffodils and jonquils, but they don't grow here because it doesn't get cold enough to set the blooms. I spent yesterday putting in my herb garden and spring annuals.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am dieing for some flowers...we are still getting snow! Cute cat too ;D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! At our elevation, it will be a little while yet until we have flowers blooming. Wasn't conference wonderful?!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week !
Now it's time to post the pics of those beautiful flowers lying dormant AGAIN under the snow!!
