Comparisons

I'm giving a lesson on Sunday about not comparing ourselves with others and being successful by our own measure.

With that in mind, I can't help but post some comparisons about today's activities.

Early this morning I stood out in a parking lot to receive my Bountiful Basket.  This is the first time I've signed up for this bounty of fruits and vegetables.  I was excited to get it and thought of all the meals I could make, using this nutritious fare.

In the afternoon, I sat in a comfortable room, surrounded by women of all ages, for a Christmas cookie exchange. This was the first time I had been to this event. With platter in hand, I approached the tables that were filled with delicacies from the kitchen of each of these women.  We went around the tables, not only once, but twice, to fill our Bountiful Cookie Platters!

I'd say it was a successful day...by my standards.  In order to be successful by Weight Watchers standards, I'll have to share the cookies!

They both look so good...just mix them and then you will have a balanced diet! ;D

Loooots of goodies--healthy and not-so-healthy. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding someone to share those treats with!

The lesson sounds like a good one too!

I love the cookie exchange tradition you guys have over there. If it weren't so hot over here at Christmas I would host one myself. Have a few for me please!

Best wishes always,
Natasha.

Good luck on giving the lesson!
You could always take your cookies and share, that would solve the WW problem.
As for Bountiful Baskets...
enjoy all those tasty fruit and veggies :)

So are ya gonna? Share the cookies I mean.

I'm not sure I would.
I know this is a well protected secret from the FBI, CIA and even Weight Watchers....but the calories that are consumed in December don't count.
I know! Shocking isn't it?

I'd totally go for the cookies!

It all looks so wonderful! yummm, yummm. Enjoy those cookies, in fact just think about someone else while you're eating them, and maybe they'll get the calories. Just make sure it's someone you don't like!

What a fun event! I have never heard of a cookie exchange! Too bad you can't eat all of them! They all look so good but good for you for sticking with your Weight Watchers! You go girl!

I was reading in a magazine not long ago.. that one of the not-good things about blogging.. is their is too many women that do the "comparing" thing daily.

It's sad that it happens.. but we are human. :)

Both of those bountiful treats look great. I am with Tauna.. December should be a free-bee month!

I think my whole weight watchers attempt has gone to hell in a bountiful basket.
re-start.
I am sure your lesson was really good.

I have the picture you gave me in my bedroom. I love it so much.

Tis the season!! Bring on the cookies for me. Believe it or not, my boy would prefer the basket of fruits and veggies. I'm not sure whose child he is! :)

Morning Connie,
Just popped by to say thank you so much for your very kind compliment. I shall have to be careful my head doesn't get too large.
It's a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to coming by again...any chance of some more cookies?

What a wonderful idea. I'm particularly interested in the fruit and vegetable basket. How exactly does that work? Who am I kidding, I'm very interested in those cookies too.

Cookie exchange sounds like loads of fun and a great way to get out of baking so many different types of holiday goodness.
