Glitter Makes My Day!

I'm mesmerized by glitter!  I lose my train of thought, and get lost in the shimmery, shiny, glinty, luster of sparkle.  A few days ago I made this bulletin board for speech.

It's hard to tell by the picture, but the snowflakes are covered with iridescent glitter!  It was a wonderful day for me...not so much for the guy who vacuums the room.  Each snowflake represents a speech student.
We are a blizzard.

ok...the glitter on your snowflakes is great
but you know what REALLY glitters
IS YOU
your are a glittering wonderful person.
I know how wonderful it must have been to be with Tauna and GIGi.
I remember so well when both of you came to my sons' funeral
what joy
what a humbling experience to realize that there are people out there...who you haven't even met yet...who care and love you
I'll never forget it Connie

amidst all that pain....is a rainbow and it comes with glitter all over it in people like YOU

I thought you were totally rockin' the glitter the other day! I am pretty sure there is no one more sparkly than you.

It was such a treat to sit by you the other day and talk like OLD friends. You are such a treasure.

Ya, Wendy, way to make me cry!
You guys are the best kind of "blisters" (blog sisters)

I also love glitter. As a matter of fact, my favorite chair in the living room still has green glitter left from one of my Christmas project. My husband HATES glitter. You would think he did the vacuuming. As long as I vacuum ... I will glitter.

Connie- that's what MY speech bulletin board says right now! I liked my Christmas one, too- gingerbread men with each of my kids' names on it and the phrase "Catch Us Using our Good Speech!"

I am so happy that you are still able to show your mighty talents with Glitter. You really are the "Glitter Queen". Your wall looks great. Now I will have to watch to see what you do for February.

Connie, Thanks so much for telling me about your husband's ablation. Patrick's recovery seems a little slower and more painful this time. Your husband's recovery has given me encouragement and hope that all will turn our okay this morning. Thanks.

Very cute. I love glitter, too.

I came by to say thank you for the great comment you left on my last post and how I loved the idea that the sales people have a recliner out back and stopped and thought 'oooooh glitter'. I love all sparkly shiny things, it must be the magpie in me. Then I read all the wonderful heartfelt comments above. You are one special lady to have all these people write these comments...so I decided that the glitter is very appropriate - shiny and lovely like yourself.
Keep shining!
Carol

Well Connie, I must say Wendy's comment is dead on!! Truthfully, I despise glitter!! REALLY!! However, your bulletin board is sparkly and clever, just like you!! If all glitter was like you, I think I just might like it!!

That is one awesome bulletin board! Did you cut those snow flakes out with a Cricut? I'm guessing you were covered with glitter when you were done. At least I am when I use it. One time I found glitter on my dog 3 days after my project.

As a dude first grade teacher, my wife always makes fun of me for coming home, covered in glitter.

As long as someone else is dealing with the glitter, I love it too. I don't love it in my house.... :)
