RUN FOR RED!

Running is good, running for a good cause is even better, running with family is the best!
Today was the American Red Cross 5K run.

Jeanette ran it in under 30 minutes

Camille pushed an extra 80 pounds while running.

I came in 2nd!  I should mention it's in the age group of age 50 - 99 and perhaps I should also mention that the 3rd place winner is recovering from a stroke!  I'm not sure, but I think there were only 3 in that age group. Oh yeah, I'm good!  Thanks to Jordan for downloading some Metallica, Clutch, Muse, Black-eyed peas, Peter Breinholt and ABBA for me on the ipod!  It kept me going! You want to join me at Red Robin for lunch?  Not sure  I can use all that $7.00 by myself!

Jill didn't run because she volunteered at the race.  I was able to wave to her on the course!

This is what we found when we got home!   Nothing like a Saturday nap with the cat!
Have a RED letter day, today!

Oh my gosh, that photo of your son and the cat is hysterical.

That's what I'd be doing after a run. and still breathing I HOPE

good for you, that sounds like it would be fun, although exhausting. I WALK...albeit fast...but not run. WALK

and $7.00 whooppeee, try not to spend it all in one place.

I'm still in pain from that race! (and by the picture, it doesn't even look like I was moving!) actually, that's what I did the whole race . . .

Congrats again on the ribbon and gift certificate! I need you as my trainer!

Congratulations!! You always inspire me and I hope that I can be as fit and active as you are when I get to be your age.

What a blessing it is to be so close to your daughters and to be fit and do things like this together! You are SO blessed. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have a close family like that.

I'm laughing at the photo of your son and the cat AND I have to agree with you that I am enjoying the last little bit of winter for wearing baggy sweaters to hide my few pounds of winter fat I am trying to lose.

Thanks for making me SMILE today! YAY--only two more days until the weekend!
