Some pics that make me smile and Cupcakes in a Jar

Bear with me as I flaunt my grandchildren.

C8 thought it was funny that the teeth clip from the dentist office was biting her lip.  Kind of reminds me of an African tribe seen in National Geographic.

K8-E and Troy posing before church.  K8-E helped Troy with his tie.  I assume the shoes were on the right appendages before they left.

This is what happens when Grandma's tending 10-month-old Aly.  The giggles were coming from somewhere but Aly couldn't be seen!  I hate to admit it but after scouring the house, I had to ask her 8-year-old sister where she was.  Voila!

Remember the Corbanator, who cuts his own hair?  He's leaving the clippers alone now but the spray bottle is his friend. A good spike is a must before leaving for kindergarten.  What a stud!

Now, to the cupcakes in a jar!  I found this idea on Kelly's blog.  You should go there to see what they REALLY look like and the tutorial on how to make them.  They would be much prettier using Red Velvet cake, chocolate cake, lemon cake, strawberry, anything with color.  I used carrot cake (since that was the only flavor on hand) and cream cheese frosting.  I hesitate to use carrot cake to give to others since I discovered the hard way that not everyone loves carrot cake like I do.  When my oldest son turned 9, we invited uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents over for cake and ice cream.  I made a carrot cake and the birthday boy spent the whole evening in his bedroom, refusing to mingle, because he hated the cake!  I think he has since discovered the error of his ways.
I got a little off track there.  Go see Kelly and find out what's in with cupcakes!

I love the spikey hair boy! I bet he totally rocks the kindergarten!

Ya, kids are tough to babysit. I did that Saturday night. I think when I was raising little ones there weren't nearly as many awesome hiding places.

Uh, ya, I'm thinking African tribe as well. Hopefully her lower lip will be able to return to normal and she'll never have a desire to pierce it.
She's so funny.

Ya, brag about those grandkids all you want. They are the best aren't they?

Oh, how is the car?

I love it when I get to see the cute pictures you take of your GRAND-kids! They sure add the icing to our lives. I love the lip jewlery and that tic clipped to the collar is just the cutest thing. Oh how little minds work :))

I saw that cake in a jar on another website and the cake was acutally baked in the jar. I hope I get around to makeing them soon. I'll send you that link too.

great photos...........the spike hair is "cool" (do they even say cool anymore?? probably not. how about rad??)
love the crooked placed tie. A little work to do there before he goes on a mission I think.

grandkids are the BEST!!

and yes I am here. So happy to be with the kids again, especially with Matt's birthday on Sunday...we all plan to be together!!

when one of my cousins came down for Matt's funeral. she ended going with her other sister to a singles dance (they are both divorcees) and anyway, she met someone, and now they are getting married Feb 4. HOLY MATRIMONY.

so I rode down with her, and then will be going back with other family members who are coming down for the wedding.

I laughed out loud ( LOL'd ) when I saw the pic of the native tribe member. No wonder she's been drooling so much since we visited!
And the carrot cake cupcakes... darling! I know a tall, lanky guy that would love one for his birthday!
