Tour de Donut

During speech time in preschool, I was teaching a group lesson on dentists.  During the lesson, talkative, four-year-old Nick made a comment about every picture, every dentist tool, brushing his teeth, etc.   I told the students that the dentist has different flavors of toothpaste;  grape, cherry,  mint...Nick excitedly turned to his neighbor and blurted, "What if there was DONUT toothpaste!"  He rubbed his stomach and licked his chapped lips. I was distracted for a moment as I pondered that thought!
Even better than donut flavored toothpaste is an actual donut!  "But what about the calories?", you ask!  I have the solution!

The Tour de Donut gives you the opportunity to eat donuts and work off the calories while you ride your bike with a group of fun people!

This is what it says on their website:
"Race 21 miles and see who is the king donut! In circuit style, ride 7 miles, then eat as many donuts as you would like. No limit. Then, ride 7 more miles, eat more donuts, then ride the last 7 mile lap.
Take 3 minutes off your time for each donut you keep down. Glory and adulation (and great prizes!) are waiting for you at the Finish Line."

My family participated in the event last year.

We had a blast!  The course was flat yet had just enough of a challenge to work up a good sweat. It was well organized and there were great prizes.  You don't even have to win to get some of those prizes! (I won eyebrow waxing!) If you register now, you get $10.00 off the registration fee!
Come and join us!  I'd love to ride along side of you...that is, until you pass me and leave me in the dust!  When you register, tell them Connie sent you.  They'll know what you mean!
I'll let you know when I find donut flavored toothpaste!

Kids say the funniest things. If I worked at the school I think I laugh all day at the funny stuff they can come up with. Or maybe not.

I remember yall doing this race last year. Fun good times!

What a little character :)
I wish that they would make chocolate covered marshmallow flavored toothpaste!!! I would have to get a years supply of that.
Have a fun on your donut ride :)

That looks like so much fun!

That little Nick really should patent that idea.
Or not.

Well maybe it would make me NOT want to eat donuts.

HOLY SHITAKE MUSHROOM!! I did this last year with my girlfriends, in fact we are in the picture you have above (top right - I am in the pink tank top - Tiburon is on the polkadot jersey)

It was admittedly a BLAST! I didn't eat any donuts and I ended up going an extra loop that I didn't need to, but it was fun.

Some of the girls are doing it again this year, but for me, it's the same weekend as a relay race from Logan to Jackson hole so I will miss it

Have so much fun and yes, get the word out - it is a blast!

I remember reading of how you did that last year. How many donuts did YOU eat....and now that you are on ww are you still going to devour a donut????
that is the kind of athletic even that would INSPIRE me.

M-Cat, I was right about riding with FUN people! Too bad you won't make it this year.
Wendy, I only ate 2 donuts last year. This year...not sure.

I'd use doughnut toothpaste. I prefer glazed. Probably even give you a nice shine on your teeth.

If they had a doughnut race that was just running, I'd definitely do it.

Find out if they make maple bar flavored if they do...

Donuts and bike riding...a logical combination! :) Actually it sounds like fun.
But your little student has the best idea EVER!!! I think I'll talk to my dentist about it!
