After the Snow

Now that the snow has melted and we have a few days of short-lived warm weather. I feel rejuvenated!  It's time to check out the yard and see what's been happening while the ground was covered with the white stuff.

We have these beautiful hyacinths that smell so sweet.

The Daffodils are huge this year!

The weeds made a grand appearance after lying dormant all winter.
I suppose you have to take the bad with the good. Who can I blame for that?

We also discovered that our friendly mole/gopher has been busy with new excavation! He's been around for the past three years.  We've tried several different remedies to get rid of him but he's having a grand time tunneling throughout our yard.

This thing, Henry Gray Cat, doesn't seem to care anything about it.  If he does catch that underground critter, he'll be worth his weight in gold.  Otherwise, he's just a cat who thinks he owns us.

Perhaps it's time to ban his Facebook privileges. (Yeah, I have weird sons)

Enjoy your weekend.  I know I will.

P.S.  Thanks for all your comments and great ideas for decorating my guest room.  I have some good ideas now and am able to move forward!

The flowers are so lovely!!! Your yard is awesome.
I think you won't need to worry about the spare room.....I'll bring my own bedspread. I'm moving in!

Every fall I tell myself to plant some bulbs so I can have some tulips or daffodils or SOMETHING, and every year, I don't do it.

I am anxious to get some petunia's or something planted so that there will be some color and make it feel like spring.

PHat cat....with an attitude.
The spring flowers are always so gorgeous.
We woke up to 6 inches of snow this morning, and it has been pounding down all day...I bet there is over a foot out there now.
Not a flower in sight.

the guest room looks good...and I love having the necklaces out so you can see what you have. Very nice.

I am thinking of Matt this evening....priesthood session. He always went with his brothers , father and father in law, then they'd go out to dinner. He liked that.

What pretty flowers! I really hope that the nice weather is LONG-lived. I don't want some fickle, "not ready for spring yet" weather.

The flowers are absolutely beautiful. I know that pretty soon our snow will be completely melted. I would love to have a green thumb and be able to grow beautiful flowers.

Regarding the gopher--GOOD LUCK.

Sure hope your beautiful flowers weren't killed under all that snow we got!

Beautiful flowers. I especially love daffodils and jonquils, but they don't grow here because it doesn't get cold enough to set the blooms. I spent yesterday putting in my herb garden and spring annuals.
