PERKS

It's nice when a member of your family works for a company that allows the family members special privileges or has a talent that benefits your life.  My daughter, Candice, works for Jet Blue.  She, her husband and children get to fly anywhere that Jet Blue flys, for free!  So do her parents!!  We've gone to Disneyland and to NYC.

My oldest son, Dan, is an artist.  He is a custom airbrush designer.  I have some beautiful pictures that he has painted.  Here's one of my granddaughter, C8.

My daughter, Jill, is a massage therapist.  She has saved my sorry back on several occasions!

My son, Jacob used to work at this theater.  His family was able to get in to see a movie for free!  We took advantage of that as often as we could.  The theater closed down (too many freebies) for a few months.

He now has a new job at the local cemetery.  He takes care of the lawn and helps dig the graves.  I haven't asked about the perks that come along with THIS job, but, I have a feeling I won't be taking advantage of them in this life!

Now, if one of my children ends up working for the M&M company, life will be good!

If I get a job with the M&M company, will you give me the title of your favorite child?

Now you're starting to notice all the perks of having so many children! :)

Did I not build things for you? What's holding all your books in the basement and your little statue things in the front room? I just want to be recognized for something that I think I can do.

Yeah, Jordy Boy, that was risky listing only some of your brood! I am sure they each give you so much. What a great family you have!

Cute post--love it.

I wish one of mine worked at a chocolate factory ; )

Yes, Jordy, my carpenter, you're right. But I knew if I listed the talents of ALL my children, the post would be too long. Here goes. David is the mechanic in our family. It's because of him we have some of our cars. Jeanette is also artistic. She has created beautiful pictures for our wall at school. My profile picture is a creation of hers. Camille is the best baker I know. If we ever need a dessert, we ask her to make it. She should write a recipe book. She also works at a temp agency and if I ever need a job, she can place me anywhere! OK, is that all? 1,2,3,....8. Yes, that's it!
I won't even mention my sons and daughters-in-law. This would go on forever!

I loved your post. You are sooo funny. I have a few kids that give me perks too. I just love it. Just one of the good things that come with having a family.
One of Dh's first jobs when he came to this country was digging graves.

I keep trying to tell my kids they should pick from jobs such as, Doctor, Plumber, General Contractor and Mechanic. I could use some freebies from all of those! I never thought of M&Ms though!

Lucky you! I'm not sure what my kids will have to offer. Right now they offer me an empty wallett, lote of miles on my car, and late night weekends waiting for them to come in. I think this will change with age.

I can't complain to much because,
I do have a missionary, we have received countless blessings there.
Have a good day.

Connie, you always give me a GOOD laugh when I visit your Blog! Your cemetery comment just made me chuckle!!

WOW! It sounds like you have had LOTS of nice perks through the years, flying for free, free movies, free massages, gorgeous painted pictures.

I wish I could just "wiggle my nose" like Samantha on Be-witched and send some M&M's your way!!

BTW...My handy, dandy, hubby Tracy helped me bottle up your tomato soup recipe on Tuesday night. WOW, there was about 2 cups left that wouldn't fit ino the quart jars and so he had it yesterday for lunch and it was SO delicious!!

Hope your day is a good one!!

The husband in my house is wondering how you got your Costco membership.
Okay, he's not really wondering that.
He knows the answer.

Besides, the word I have to type in to prove I'm a real human to leave a comment is "Consters"

Great perks! Wish I could talk someone in my family into working for M&M. I'm always trying to get someone to be a dentist, but that hasn't worked out yet.
